Winterberry is a multi-stemmed shrub that tolerates poorly drained soil conditions. Male flowers are borne in clusters and female flowers are single. Female plants produce bright glossy red berries in the fall. Planted for wildlife, landscaping, and wetland plantings. Often browsed by deer.
