Our goal for this event is to provide educational and hands-on food safety resources for produce farms and businesses of all sizes in west MI. Registering helps me prepare an accurate number of food & seats!

Tuesday, February 17th from 5pm-7pm at Kent MSU Extension on Ball Ave in GR (775 Ball Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503).

5-5:10pm: introductions & get food

5:15 – 6:15pm: MDARD Food Licensing & Manufacturing Inspector will present about aspects of getting a food license, good labeling examples, POS factors to think about, and more. There will be time for questions at throughout and at the end of their presentation.

6:20 – 6:45pm: Morgan Anderson, Produce Safety Tech at the Ottawa Conservation District, will have a fun game to illustrate the musts & shoulds of on-farm food safety

6:45pm- 7pm: Door prizes and wrap-up
