When: May 27th, 2023 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Where: Hemlock Crossing Nature Center (8115 West Olive Rd. West Olive, MI 49460)

Workshop Registration

May 18th at 6:30 at Hemlock Crossing Nature Center

Join us for a workshop with Dr. Erin Hill, Weed Science Diagnostician with Michigan State University’s Department of Plant, Soil and Microbial Sciences. You’ll learn tactics and resources for building your weed seedling identification knowledge. This will help you pull young weeds, not young native plants! Removing them from your garden as early as possible keeps these weeds from seeding and spreading, or otherwise competing, with your desired plants.

The native plant sale offers a wide assortment of Michigan-grown native flowering plants, garden kits, and grasses. Often, this sale is accompanied by an educational seminar.

We hold the sale in the spring and fall of each year. The funds we raise from the native plant sale provide important operational funding for the district.
